This is much better in the romance department than One Bite With A Stranger. I’m not really a big fan of the couple being in each others minds when the readers don’t actually get to see the couple falling in love, guessing at the romance and the connection between the two.The pace of this story was amazing, from the beginning to the end, the story flowed. I wrote in my journal that this had a different plot from the major plot that was in the first book but, I’m already on book 5, though I skipped book 4 since I don’t have it.
But, so far, I’m thinking that these actually could be stand alones, well except for Regina, Missy, Danice, Corinne, and Ava because they each have their own plots.
When I first read these books, a couple of years ago, I had no idea who Missy was going to end up with, she’s the less intense of her friends so ending up with Graham was a shock to me but, they are amazing together.
I love Graham. They actually talked to one another and instead of being inside of each others heads, the readers actually get to feel their connection and see the romance. This big bad wolf is sweet and attentive to his mate. I felt a real connection between them, even with Missy doubting everything.
That leads into the next part of my review. I found that this is a book character that I can actually relate with, with her emotions. I felt like this was a real couple with insecurities, arguments, and silly banter.
The werewolf culture was a huge bonus to make the story even more interesting. This book was written so well that it wasn’t boring or overwhelming with all of the information about werewolves.

First time reading this author and the book was okay but so not worth the hefty price tag of 7.99!!! For that price I expected way more. Not much of a story and it left me feeling like okayyyy.... Just what the heck happened here. Lots of sex so if you want that then your good but I still want more of a story. I had really high hope for this book because of the reviews but in the end I felt we were just left hanging with lots of unanswered questions. The story was there the author just chose to not fulfill it.
My favorite "fairytale" story or conceit is Beauty and the Beast, and Graham's lupine "beastly" qualities are on display in this delightful story, and his job is cut out for him convincing Missy that she is his "Beauty."
Missy doesn't think she's beautiful; she feels like a plain, boring kindergarten teacher. But Graham thinks that she is beautiful and luscious and makes her believe it, which is fantastic and my favorite kind of love story to read!
Being new to the paranormal world and slowly dipping a foot in, I find this story really great and the writing well-done. Thanks for a great read!
For me this is the best one I have read in the series. Graham and Missy are really enjoyable. She doesn't want anything to do with furry guys and he has never dated a human. Their story is funny but Missy has to get over her issues many including well meaning friends attempts to set her up. I have to say Ava's attempts creped me out as well. I hated to see it end. You are introduced to many characters you will see down the road in future books.
This book is about Graham (bored werewolf alpha, who doesn't date humans) and Missy (a human kindergarten teacher with a boring sex life and the hots for Graham). She is inveigled to a party for one of her best friends (who got married hurriedly and is throwing a party to make up for it). Her girl fends want to set her up with a fantasy date (fix, sexually explicit blind date with a theme--pretty funny). Graham finally notices her and realizes she is his mate and carries her off for a weekend of sex (nicely written erotica). Well I just blew the plot. Other characters are well done spear carriers and the villain is OK. I would rate it higher but for the weak plot. The villain Curtis is weak and Graham as alpha lets him get by with far too much.
Still an very good read read. Much much better than Born To Be Wild (The Others) which was pretty disappointing.
I read both versions of this story, the shorter Fur Factor from Ellora's Cave and now this longer version. I enjoyed both. Christine Warren's Others's series has its ups and downs, but are solid paranormal romance reads for the most part. After reading the entire series so far, I have to say that this is one of my favorites. I tend to enjoy her shifter books better than her vampire, witch or faery stories. Not that I have anything against those other paranormals but in Warren's universe the shifters are just more interesting (her demons are pretty interesting too). Graham is a sexy Alpha with a lot of responsibility but a good heart underneath his playboy ways. Missy is a sweetie, who turns out to have a surprisingly strong backbone beneath the shy demeanor. I find Graham's little jealous episodes very entertaining. Then again I always enjoy it when former playboys find their mates in these novels and turn all possessively jealous as they realize that other playboys could actually hone in on what they believe is their territory. I find it to be a humbling experience for them, especially when their mates don't just fall in line with their plans right away and the former playboys actually have to work for what they want. Anyway, Warren's novels are never too serious or too complicated, and this adds to their appeal for me. Simple is sometimes a good thing, and for me these are great breaks in between heavier reading. Don't expect this to be deep, dark, and dramatic. This is interesting and fun, with a nice dose of heat to keep the romance junkies happy. I recommend this series as light reading. Big Bad Wolf is definitely entertaining and most readers will enjoy it.
